OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is a maiden OnePlus premium flagship smartphone to launch after its integration with OPPO. With premium glass-metal construction and top-notch specifications, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has the classic OnePlus underpinnings. However, one can clearly see OPPO’s influence on the smartphone on the interface side. This is despite the phone running on the OxygenOS interface, which has been core to the OnePlus experience. So, how does the integration change the scheme of things for OnePlus. Importantly, how is the experience using the OnePlus 10 Pro? Let’s find out:
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G
“10 pro 5G is a logical successor of the Pro series smartphone with the Pro grade features in it,” says Faisal Kawoosa, Founder and Chief Analyst at Techarc.
The pricing pitched 10 pro 5G against Samsung Galaxy S22 series which was launched in February with similar features. The differentiating factor here is that OnePlus is just eight years old whereas Samsung is a legacy brands that has seen the rise and the fall of Nokia and Motorola and many other champions of their times.

He further said, “In the luxury segment, users still see Samsung synonymous to Android smartphone and that remains a challenge for OnePlus to change the perception.”
10 pro 5G comes with Hasselblad camera branding having triple rear lenses, a 48MP main lens, supported by a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP macro lens. It has a 32MP selfie camera. “I believe with 2nd generation of OnePlus-Hassleblad relationship, near natural colour rendering has become stronger,” he says.
The battery is 5,000mAh now, an increase of 500mAh over the 9 Pro, and with the improved efficiency of a next-generation chip and smart(er) cooling, the results speak for themselves. The 10 Pro is a reliable all-day phone. Sometimes you can stretch it well into the next day thanks to some of the best standby times we’ve seen in any phone of its class. Fast charging is also getting an update. The 10 Pro supports 80W SuperVOOC wired charging (the 9 Pro topped out at 65W). OnePlus claims the bundled charger – which isn’t Power Delivery (PD) sadly— can charge the phone from 1-100% in 32 minutes. In our experience, it took about 40-minutes to do this, which is still quick enough. You also get up to 50W AirVOOC wireless as well as reverse wireless charging in this phone.
The haptic motor deserves a special mention. Not only does the 10 Pro pack some of the nicest haptics in the market today and OnePlus has also designed dedicated audio effects –and animations – that make interactions more fun and immersive.
OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery and an 80W fast charger. It features a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone uses a punch hole display design that holds selfie camera.
